Today was the big day that I FINALLY got my invite to SocialScope…. and boy was it worth the wait! Bye, bye, UberTwitter. Below are screenshots and downloads (scroll down for previous versions of SocialScope). By the way, I have a Blackberry Storm, running OS 4.7.0.151. If you don’t have this device and OS, this JAD won’t work with your device!
Download: SocialScope Lite 0.9.5.44
(TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Blackberry Storm, OS 4.7.0.151)
- Fix: Posting does not work for some locales
Sign-On Screen:

Integrated feed of both Twitter and Facebook updates:

Facebook Screen
One noticeable bug is that the Facebook feed isn’t properly identifying your Facebook friends, so while you see the activity and status updates, you can’t tell which friend said it.

Facebook Comment Feature
SocialScope gives you the ability to comment on a Facebook friend’s activity, assuming of course, you know which friend did it.

Wondering what happened to the Storm OS .141 update we said should have dropped late last month? We had heard rumors of some problems with the OS but over the weekend we got word from a trusted ninja that the much anticipated OS .141 has failed Verizon Wireless’ testing.
Oh. No.
Too many glitches remain, so this update is supposedly dead in the water. There is no word yet on a new OS version nor any expected release date for a future update. The big question now is what RIM and Verizon will do with the Storm. Will we see another 4.7 version go through testing, will both companies ditch 4.7 and roll out an OS 5.0 update or will development on the Storm be shelved in lieu of the rumored Storm 2?
In any case, at this point we really better start to see some movement soon.
