There is absolutely NO doubt in any of my colleagues’ minds that I am passionate about social media. It’s something that I continually seek to integrate into our internal communications and talent acquisition programs. But, any internal social media strategist will tell you that, while everyone agrees that social media tools are a great way to communicate with employees, they are still climbing an uphill battle to get them integrated into employee communication channels — it’s something that I experience daily. But in all fairness, there are many reasons why companies hesitate to adopt social media tools internally, whether it be because they are waiting for the “dust to settle” on what are winning social media tactics, or competing priorities for necessary resources, or to the simple fact there is no money.
And so my uphill climb continues…
